A logo and identity for a bunch of young creatives: In 2013 I founded USNAII LAB in the Eastlands of Nairobi, Kenya. USANII LAB is a media-, art- and design project for youth, you can find out more about our fabulous collective here and on our website.

In several African cultures the patterns used on fabric, beadwork and paintings were/are not only decoration but have a meaning and a pattern could/can be read like type. For the USANII LAB logo I decided to do it the other way round: the single letters of the logo can be used to create patterns. We used it in different ways e.g. for t-shirts, business cards, our websiteor wrist bands.
